Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Swedish composer and pianist crafting music that bridges the serene landscapes of Scandinavia with the warmth of southern Europe. From his rural studios in Sweden and France, he creates intimate pieces that speak to stillness, emotion, and presence.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Aretha Franklin, Let Me In Your Life Esbjörn Svensson Trio, From Gagarin's Point of View Keith Jarrett, The Köln Concert (Live) These three albums where great inspiration when I discovered that there was a lot more music than the Swedish bands that I tried to sound like when I formed my first band as a 12-year old. The complex chords, the timing and expression hooked me.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Sosso” This is one of my own favorite songs. A bit melancholic but hopeful.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? As a pianist I am happy that I have been a small part of the band with some of my childhood idols. As a composer I feel very lucky to get response when some of my musical ideas obviously have reached listeners from different places in the world.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I try to keep an open mind and stay curious. Interact with inspiring musicians and friends. Hopefully my best songs are yet to come.
