• Perry’s career began with hard-edged electro-house and big-room tunes, but it was the softer tropical sounds of 2016 and beyond that made the DJ a star.
• “The Ocean” was the song that changed his life. Featuring whispy vocals from Shy Martin, the 2016 single reached No. 1 in Sweden and went platinum in numerous countries.
• His 2017 single “Hands,” featuring UK pop-rockers The Vamps and American singer-actress Sebrina Carpenter, brought more international acclaim.
• Instead of releasing EPs and LPs, Perry has made a habit of dropping handfuls of singles each year. By 2020, he’d released more than 30.
