Berlin-based French-Canadian producer and DJ Nicolas Bougaïeff combines a life-long love of dance music with a background in electro-acoustic and contemporary classical music, creating intricately designed, sci-fi-influenced techno. Mind-twisting releases such as his 2020 full-length The Upward Spiral shape abrasive industrial textures and commanding beats into complex, high-velocity rhythmic patterns, while 2022's Begin Within ventures into futuristic avant-pop. With a series of digital EPs initiated by 2024's EP1, he focuses on intense, driving warehouse techno.
