In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My musical journey started in a choir that my oldest brother told me to join when I was a freshman in high school, and the rest is history. Choir music is what made me fall in love with harmonies and was the earliest stage of Stil as an artist.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Naughty By Nature, Naughty by Nature The Notorious B.I.G., The Notorious B.I.G.: Greatest Hits The Tallest Man On Earth, The Wild Hunt (Bonus Track Version) All three of these albums have lived rent-free in my mind since an early age. When it comes to cadence, writing, melodies, and structures, these albums embody what it is to be uniquely you and why it is so important to set trends, not follow them.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Being signed to Astre Collective. I genuinely believe I have an important message to relay in my music, and signing to a label that gives me the platform to do so is everything I could have ever dreamed of as a small town, middle of nowhere artist.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I just want to create timeless music that everyday people like myself can use to escape reality for a bit. Life can be tough, but it's the little things that make it a touch easier.
