Puerto Rican artist Tito El Bambino was half of the pioneering reggaetón duo Héctor & Tito before launching a successful solo career filled with beat-driven chart-toppers.
∙ Héctor & Tito helped popularize reggaetón in Puerto Rico and beyond with such hits as “Ay Amor,” from 2003’s double-Platinum La Historia Live.
∙ His solo debut, 2006’s Top of the Line, was a success in the US, thanks to such hits as “Caile,” the first of his songs to reach No. 1 on Billboard’s Tropical Airplay chart.
∙ El Patrón earned nearly 20 nominations at the 2010 Billboard Latin Music Awards, including 4 wins for the smash “El Amor,” which he performed at the White House.
∙ Anchored by the radio hit “Llueve el Amor,” 2011’s Invencible won a Latin Grammy Award and earned him Songwriter of the Year honors at the ASCAP Latin Music Awards.
∙ Marc Anthony duetted on “¿Por Qué Les Mientes?” from Invicto, which made it to No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums chart and won a Lo Nuestro Award for Urban Album of the Year.
