Unfoonk is an Atlanta, Georgia hip-hop artist with an expressive, heartfelt vocal style, who began his career in late 2019. That year he issued On the Way, his debut album, and in 2020 he released numerous singles and a sophomore album, 11 Years No Tears, on YSL, a label owned by his brother, Young Thug. Unfoonk contributed six tracks to a 2021 YSL compilation titled Slime Language 2, which hit number one in the U.S, and he capitalized on this exposure by swiftly issuing the mixtape My Struggle.
