Experimental electronica producer Steven Ellison, better known as Flying Lotus, is the grandnephew of avant-garde jazz legends John and Alice Coltrane. He's also a lifelong groove fiend who has combined hip-hop, dub reggae, IDM, funk, and much more into a swirling psychedelic sound. The leader of the Brainfeeder collective has revitalized the underground electronica scene in the '10s.
