After a successful 16-year career, singer and lyricist Miho Karasawa debuted new moniker TRUE in 2014. While the veteran vocalist’s previous sound was mellow, sweet and mostly acoustic, the name change heralds a bold evolution in her oeuvre. With clear, soaring vocals still present, she tests her boundaries on a hard-charging and frenetic J-rock sound that spans quirky rock and orchestral ballads.
