Ne-Yo first made his mark with the 2005 feel-good R&B smash “Stay.” In the years since, he’s amassed a catalog of hits, as both a performer and songwriter, that has placed him among the greats of his Motown label. For Black Music Month 2019, the singer has created an exclusive playlist that he hopes illustrates how it feels to be a part of that legacy. “Black music will never not be important,” Ne-Yo says. “And in the years to come, it will continue to show us all why. This playlist is a small portion of the collection of Motown songs that helped mold the man I am.”
