A family doctor who also happens to be a gifted singer, songwriter and keyboardist, Dr. Tumi strives for nothing less than spiritual healing in his compositions. Like so many young Christians, Tumi first realised his affinity for sacred music in Sunday school. After a stint in the popular ensemble Intense, the ambitious South African launched a solo career in 2007 and achieved success with a blend of gospel, praise & worship and a little R&B. Although the bulk of his work is sung in English, Tumi has also written linguistically intricate pieces like “Wafika” that spotlight African languages.
