After being signed by brothers Haftbefehl and Capo in 2017, Azzi Memo upped his rap game, taking it from posting videos online videos for fun to standing out as a major feature on the pair’s Generation Azzlack label. Memo embodies street poetry in tracks such as “Amnezia” and “LV Gucci”, which combine hazy trap with typically stunting lyrics that both glorify and condemn gang life. His collaborations are of a similar bent—with label mate Capo, “Shuttle” jogs along to a dreamlike accompaniment, while the pictures painted by the lyrics are the main event.
