Malmö's Jonathan Johansson expertly handles fluid, melodic synth-pop. The singer/songwriter dropped his indie debut album in 2008, focusing on the simple pairing of vocals and guitars. Four years later he returned with a sound larger in scope, crooning gorgeous, plaintive pop ballads over mellow percussion and keyboard notes that that seem to echo through a wistful scenic landscape.
