Sweet Talker is a hot mess, but would you expect anything less from the star of "Bang Bang," Jessie J's explosive smash hit collaboration with Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj? Like that song, the Scottish singer's third album is a ranging, full-throttle affair, voraciously sampling sounds from across the pop spectrum. "Burnin' Up" is an EDM banger abetted by 2 Chainz, "Seal Me with a Kiss" is '90s throwback R&B complete with a De La Soul cameo, and "Loud" conscripts dubstep violinist and viral phenom Lindsey Stirling. The sheer number of sounds here can be dizzying, but Jessie holds it together with her powerhouse vocals and raw confidence.
