On their third album, Seattle’s The Long Winters put the finishing touches on their transformation from yelping indie rockers into cheerleading power-pop heroes. Not that frontman John Roderick has lost his endearingly quavery voice, which sits nicely atop the triumphant horns of “Teaspoon” and the bouncy guitar riffs of “Fire Island, AK.” The sentimental keyboards of “Seven” show they still have a cloudy Northwestern charm, but above all, Putting the Days to Bed is a cheery, sun-drenched celebration.
