Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I starred in a few African TV shows growing up. One of them was focused on music and performing called, “Zap Mag.” That’s where my fellow Saffer musicians Dave Matthews, Shaun Welgemoed, Watkin Tudor Jones Jr., and Yolandi Visser also got their start
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bob Marley & The Wailers, Natty Dread (2013 Remaster) Sublime, Sublime Toots Hibbert, Toots in Memphis The 3 albums above tell the story of how Reggae Rock music evolved today. It started with Toots. Bob Marley took that rhythm and made his unique sound. Sublime then took both, mixed them with Rock and created Reggae Rock.

Tell us why you chose this song. “Reggae Beat” Reggae Beat tells the story of how modern Reggae grew on the U.S. Pacific Coast and combines variations of South African and Jawaiian Reggae. I combine traditional instruments rooted in my African homeland with modern Pop Reggae to create a blend.
