In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I learned to sing my first songs as a young child in church. Next, my grandmother taught me a little piano around age 5. When I was about 10, my father gave me my first guitar and taught me to play House of the Rising Sun on Christmas morning.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bob Dylan, The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan Townes Van Zandt, Townes Van Zandt Willis Alan Ramsey, Willis Alan Ramsey Willis Alan Ramsey's album was one of the first things my father recommended to me and it changed the whole way I thought about songwriting. Townes' music had an equally significant impact on me. Bob Dylan is another of my all-time musical heroes.

Tell us why you chose this song. “My Father’s Son” This song tells the story of my family starting with my grandfather, father, my own journey and finally my son, and throughout the generations, how the one before effected the next. This kind of personal storytelling is the mark of much of my work.
