Brisbane's Emma Louise is a singer and songwriter whose decidedly original atmospheres showcase her electronica-flecked adult contemporary pop style. She became highly regarded in Australia with the release of her Independent Music Award-winning 2011 EP, Full Hearts & Empty Rooms. Her popularity expanded to other continents when Wankelmut remixed her single "Jungle," from both the EP and her 2013 debut album, the ARIA Top 20-charting Vs Head vs Heart. Emma Louise went on to release Supercry in 2016, an album that returned her to the Top 20 in Australia, before issuing the more sultry Lilac Everything in 2018. Dumb, an album-length collaboration with future bass pioneer Flume, appeared in 2025.
