In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. FOCUS is a Conscious Hip-Hop artist coming from Jersey City but also lived on the west coast and in the south. Aiming to excel past hard times, he embodies music to not only reflect on an inner and outer struggle but to motivate and elevate.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? This diverse outlook has his music experimenting with different sounds but at the same time still having the essence of the golden era of Hip Hop.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? FOCUS was gone for a minute but now back up in it for a fresh start as a solo artist. Making music with a purpose while still maintaining the essence of Old School hip hop meets Boom Bap mixed in with a bit of soul for an interesting listen.
