Punjabi artist Gulab Sidhu began singing to avoid getting bullied in school—now he sings to share stories of his land and culture across the globe. Born into a Sikh family in 1993, Sidhu started singing in his school days and was encouraged by his teachers to perform in competitions. Inspired by the idea of true intentions, Sidhu kept his head down and had his first breakthrough in 2017 when he released the song “Parle Ji”. He found early collaborators in stars like Gurlez Akhtar for 2019’s “Dodge” before befriending Sidhu Moose Wala, leading to their collaboration “Bai Bai” in 2020. Often mixing it up when it comes to adrenaline-fuelled tracks like “Panj Satt” and charming love songs like “Ainak”, Sidhu remains an artist for all ages and all moods.
