Country singer-songwriter Lainey Wilson learned guitar at age 11, and she earned money during high school by playing children’s birthday parties as a Hannah Montana impersonator.
∙ While struggling to make it in Nashville, Wilson cowrote “Sheriff You Want To” with rising country star Luke Combs, who recorded it in 2016.
∙ Tougher, her 2016 debut, reached No. 44 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart.
∙ Kasey Tyndall’s rowdy 2017 single “Bar That’s Open” was cowritten by Wilson and country star Ashley McBryde.
∙ CMT named her as part of their Next Women of Country class of 2019.
∙ Wilson’s 2019 EP, Redneck Hollywood, was helmed by award-winning producer and songwriter Jay Joyce (Eric Church, Little Big Town, Zac Brown Band).
