Though he was born in Hoorn, Netherlands in 1989, Jacco Gardner sounds as if he were alive in 1967 soaking in all the Baroque pop and toy-town psych that were taking over pop music at the time. Inspired by groups like the Zombies and the Left Banke, the multi-instrumentalist released his first single in 2012 for the Spanish label Action Weekend. He also began recording his first album in 2012, playing almost all the instruments by himself save the drums. Also helping out with the pre-mastering was Jan Audier, who had worked with Dutch pop and psych bands the Motions, Golden Earring, and Q 65 in the '60s. The completed album, Cabinet of Curiosities, was released in early 2013. ~ Tim Sendra
