Hailing from Costa Chica, Guerrero, sisters Laura and Celia García were born into a musical family and grew up singing and listening to bolero music. Encouraged by their father, who would play requinto and arrange their repertory, the García sisters began gathering praise for their youthful versions of standards by the likes of Álvaro Carrilo and Indalecio Ramírez. Signed by the prestigious Corasón label (Chavela Vargas, Omara Portuondo, Ibrahim Ferrer), Las Hermanas García released their debut album, Que Sepan Todos, in 2017. At the time, Laura and Celia were only 16 and 15, respectively.
