Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Willow and I rapping for hours in an evening over the phone and using up all of our free talk time minutes on our pre paid plans.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Lupe Fiasco, Lupe Fiasco's The Cool Method Man & Redman, Blackout! OutKast, Big Boi & Dre Present... OutKast We would have played these 1000 times each. Outkast showed us how to flow, Lupe helped conscious hip hop to be more widely accepted and Method Man & Redman taught us how to have fun making music as a duo.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Dream Train (feat. Jon Reichardt)” This was the opener to our 3rd studio album. We wanted to show people we were interested in taking them on a journey to somewhere else; elsewhere, with this record and we felt this did a pretty good job.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Getting offered magic mushrooms by a clown holding them in a Maccas bag on a hippy commune where we were hired to be the headline act at a shared communal party all paid for by marijuana farms.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? It would be fun to get the band back together at some point for another song or two.
