Hip-hop trio Previous Industries reflect on themes of nostalgia, memory, and heartbreak. Consisting of Open Mike Eagle, Video Dave, and Still Rift, the three emcees have the natural chemistry of longtime friends, trading casual yet tightly woven rhymes about old video games, television commercials, cartoons, and other childhood memories. Their debut, Service Merchandise, appeared in 2024; the album and all of the songs are named after defunct American retail chains.
