In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My dad said I used to drum polyrhythms as a kid, banging on anything I could find. As I learned more about my culture, I realized those rhythms weren’t random—they were already a part of me. A part of us.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Caetano Veloso, Caetano Veloso D'Angelo, Voodoo Ryuichi Sakamoto, Thousand Knives of Ryuichi Sakamoto D’Angelo’s Voodoo got me through hard days since I got it when I was a teenager. Sakamoto’s Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence and other work rewired how I hear. Caetano’s singing showed me how tenderness and exile can live inside a single voice.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Who U Gonna Call” As Filipino artists, we’ve often emulated what we hear but here, we’re interpreting a genre born in the Philippines. It’s our way of honoring the motherland. We simply hope this stands as a fitting homage from 2 east coast pinoys.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? It happens whenever I make something with friends, and yet It's always yet to come.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I always try to put myself—my now—into the music. Maybe I’m expressing 70–75% of who I am. I just hope to keep growing, to get closer to sound being the whole of me.
