In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Growing up at summer camp, I was influenced by a variety of people from different places and backgrounds, including musical tastes. This exposed me to a broader influence of music compared to the street rap around where I lived.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Nicki Minaj, Pink Friday 2 Sam Smith, In the Lonely Hour YG, My Krazy Life (Deluxe) I chose these albums specifically because they all have distinct sounds, but are so well put together & are cohesive as albums. I feel & appreciate the time, love, & effort put into these albums, because it shows in the quality of the end product
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “5am Thoughts” This song is one of my favorites because it tells a story and gives a glimpse into my life and my experience growing up in the struggles of Richmond, CA. I feel like this song is the most authentically me of my entire catalog.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? In 2023, I went to a writing camp called Creative Space (RIP to the homie J Hatch). There I met some industry veterans (such as Needlz) & a new group of peers who push me to be the best version of myself as an artist & person.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I still have some major collaboration goals that I would love to hit. Specifically, I would love to have tracks with Sam Smith, Lil Baby, Polo G, Post Malone, and Shaboozy, because I really look up to them and their artistry.
