When they pressed play on the Too Phat juggernaut, Joe Flizzow and Malique only had one mission in mind: to conquer the Malaysian hip-hop summit. And oh, how they succeeded. 1999’s Whutthadilly? was an outrageous debut dripping with creativity as well as enthusiasm to shock and entertain. Too Phat dropped four albums and high-profile collabs like 2003’s “Just a Lil’ Bit” single with Warren G while blending traditional Malay samples with rap beats and rhyming with hearts on their sleeves. The duo parted ways in 2006, but the Too Phat legend lives on.
