Formed in 1938 by the legendary Don Cruz Lizárraga (1918-1995), El Recodo made the thundering tuba riffs and syncopated charola beats of Banda Sinaloense popular in all corners of the world. In 1995, his sons German and Alfonso took over leading the band. With brass-heavy danceable rhythms and radio-ready singles they have managed to stay relevant for over 80 years.
