Charles Ans began exploring a hip-hop career in his teens via open mics in Hermosillo. A move to Guadalajara gave him the opportunity to hone his skills, and he quickly became adept at making upbeat cuts peppered with local references. On his albums, Ans mainly focuses on the positive and takes a melodic, bohemian approach to the genre. Ataraxia (2016) revels in themes of gratitude and fulfilment, while Sui Géneris (2018) is a tribute to two years of his life that’s dashed through with sentimentality.
