Nightfall

Tonight I lie in bed awake My mind begins to break The truth is beginning to unfold That I am starting to grow old Time it seems is in a shell My thoughts are starting to rebel The taste although it isn't sweet It's bite is certainly discreet The climb I've risen to the top The fall my heart begins stop Tonight I lie in bed asleep My mind begins to weep The void is calling me to bed The thoughts dissolve into my head The night gets rid of my mistakes Until I find myself awake
