1. The Entrance (Intro)
(The sound of a heavy stone door grinding open. Footsteps echoing in a vast, hollow space. A minimalist, hypnotic bass pulse begins.)
Verse: Step inside the corridor, leave the map at the gate, Where the walls shift rhythm and the shadows pull weight. It’s a three-dimensional puzzle made of ego and bone, The further you go, the less that is known. Left isn't left, and the ceiling is the floor, Every answer you find just opens a door To a bigger question, to a deeper dark, Welcome to the maze. Let the wandering spark.
2. Minotaur
(Aggressive, claustrophobic production. A distorted brass section hits like a warning. This represents the internal monster or "shadow self.")
Chorus: I hear him breathing in the next hallway, The monster in the mirror, keeping me at bay. He’s got my eyes, but his heart is made of stone, The king of the Labyrinth, sitting on the throne. (Don't turn around. Just keep running.)
Verse: The beast ain't a myth, it’s a mood, it’s a hunger, The weight of the mistakes from when I was younger. It’s the anger in the gut, it’s the pride in the chest, The Minotaur is me when I’m put to the test. Every turn I take, I see a hoof-print in the dust, Building up a temple just to watch it turn to rust. I’m hunting a ghost that’s wearing my clothes, How the story ends? God only knows.
3. String of Ariadne
(Melodic, dreamy, and soul-sampling. This track represents the "lifeline" or the people that keep you grounded.)
Verse 1: I’m holding on to a thread, thin as a hair, Linking me back to the light and the air. A voice in the static, a hand in the dark, The only thing keeping me hitting the mark. Without the connection, I’m lost in the gray, Tracing the limestone, wishing for day.
Chorus: Don't let go of the string, don't let the line snap, It’s the only way out of this beautiful trap. The maze is a mind, and the mind is a cage, But love is the ink on the very last page.
4. Dead Ends
(A jarring, "glitchy" beat that stops and starts abruptly. It deals with the frustration of stagnation.)
Verse 1: Walked for a mile just to hit a brick wall, Built out of "maybe" and "if only" and "all." Backtrack the progress, erase the design, I’m running in circles, I’m losing my line. The walls are closing in, or am I getting wide? There’s nowhere to run and there’s nowhere to hide. Every "correct" turn feels like a trick, The silence is heavy, the air is too thick.
5. The Center (Outro)
(The music swells into a grand, orchestral finish before dropping into total silence. A single match strikes.)
Spoken Word: You spent the whole time trying to get out. Searching for the exit. Searching for the sky. But you didn't realize... The Labyrinth wasn't built to keep you in. It was built to keep the world out. This is the only place you’re safe. This is the center. Now that you’re here... What are you going to build in the dark?
