DJ Ötzi (aka Gerhard Friedle) had a tough start in life: He was diagnosed with epilepsy and found himself briefly homeless at 16. Perhaps that's why the Austrian's music is so unrelentingly uplifting. The world knows him from 2000's cheeky and bombastic “Hey Baby (Uuh, Aah)”, and there's plenty more massive Eurodance hits where that came from. Ötzi's music is as bold as his carefully crafted blond facial hair: He has a huge voice and he's not shy of an oompah beat, though there's also a surprisingly tender side.
