A nonconformist through and through, Shubha Mudgal made her name from pursuing her own path through Indian classical music. During the ‘80s, Mudgal performed Hindustani classical music before later experimenting with different styles in the following decade. She briefly ran a classical music site called raagsangeet.com before working on projects such as Diya Aur Baati Hum, where she sang the main title song alongside Kailash Kher.
