One of the most prolific rock outfits in Japanese history, The Alfee have been going strong since the mid-'70s. Along the way they've charmed listeners with their folk-inspired rock sound. The trio were initially inspired by non-Japanese outfits such as Pink Floyd, Simon & Garfunkel, and King Crimson, using those sonic guides to help find their own sound. The Alfee move between lighters-in-the-air ballads and fast-paced guitar rumblers perfect to pump your fist to. They're massively influential for countless bands today, but still rocking in their own right, too.
