Tender romance and a firm sense of belonging guide the acoustic folk pop of Jack Botts. After finding his voice as a busker in New South Wales, Botts released his 2018 debut single, “Home to You,” exploring what would become a favorite theme of his.
Following a trio of EPs between 2019 and 2021—including one named after his native Northern Rivers region—Botts further conjured coastal romance and escapism across his 2023 album Sucker for Sunsets, right down to the cover shot of him bobbing in the ocean. His 2025 tune “Home Days” returned to his aforementioned pet subject, despite some twinges of melancholy along the way.
Taken from his second album, Botts’ 2026 track “Where I’m Meant to Be” finds him wondering exactly where he should be while time passes more quickly than he would like. Despite that uncertainty, his breezy strumming couldn’t be more comforting to the ear.
