The prolific yet arguably underrated Chinese-Hong Kong singer Rebecca Pan started her career with the quintessentially romantic “In the Mood for Love”, inspired by the popular Indonesian folk song “Bengawan Solo”. REBECCA has since stuck to bright-eyed Chinese pop, interspersed with hints of Luk Thung and Indonesian Dangdut. Heady beats, melodic vocals, driving rock guitars and drums and romantic pop synth textures provide the basis of her velvety yet edgy sound.
