Killer Mike, one half of the iconoclastic hip-hop duo Run The Jewels, has big plans to celebrate his birthday on Instagram live while he’s practicing social distancing with his wife and kids. “My wife put together a surprise party of sorts for me,” Mike tells Apple Music. “She was like, ‘Put this flyer up.’ People are going to dance and party and we're going to blow weed into each other's phone screens—and hopefully forget all the bad stuff and just have good times for a couple hours.” As Run The Jewels prepares for their upcoming album RTJ4, Mike and rapper/producer EL-P curated an exclusive Apple Music playlist with tracks that are keeping them going during these crazy times. “All of these jams transport me a little bit,” says EL-P of the playlist, which includes songs by Curtis Mayfield, Roy Ayers, Crowded House, and Sade. “And they don't rile me up—they just make me feel something.”
