Rapper, writer and actor Sérigne M'Baye Gueye was born in France to a Senegalese father and Belgian mother. As Disiz, he manifested his passion for rap music in his debut album Le Poisson Rouge; the humorous “J'pète les plombs” became a summer hit that year, with its tightly stitched beats and nimble verses. Delivering an innovative sound with consistently versatile rhymes, his later album, Dans le Ventre du Crocodile, saw him switch things up to explore alt-rock. Returning to hip-hop more recently has seen him working trap beats with double-time flows and hooks galore.
