As a dream-chaser at heart, singer-songwriter Taichi Mukai is used to breaking boundaries. Moving from Fukuoka to Tokyo to achieve his dreams at 18, he joined funk band Modio in 2010 before leaving the following year to pursue a solo career. Posting his creations online, he quickly garnered critical acclaim for their intimate, late-night R&B vibes. These musings turned into his 2016 EP, Pool. Mukai has since experimented further with electronic and funk elements, refining his unconventional signature sound.
