Taiwanese indigenous singer A-Mei Chang has gone through a few musical incarnations over the course of her career, but whether she's singing hushed ballads or straight-on rock, she puts all of her emotions into her music. From her debut, she focused on releasing sunny pop songs with positive messages and clear-voiced melodies, sometimes incorporating the rhythms of Puyuma tribal music. But she's since explored other genres and other uses for her strong pipes: As well as branching out into slinky R&B and bossa nova tunes, she's released some dramatic rock songs as AMIT (her Puyuma name).
