Danish post-punk act The Minds Of 99 bring all the angular guitars, rattling basslines and shadowy atmospherics of the genre—while adding their own jittery pop and funk touches. The band's self-titled 2014 debut brings fast-paced, reverb-laden tracks filled with deliciously tense vocals and guitars. They sound as if they're pinging around an industrial factory. On 2018's Solkongen, the band embraces a lighter, playful tone marked by melancholy keyboard melodies, but the music still resembles a whirlwind more than a daydream.
