Bassist Michael Manring started his long career studying at the Berklee College of Music, where he aimed to explore as many different styles of music as he could. Once graduated, he became the house bassist for Windham Hill Records, providing the low end for artists like Michael Hedges and Montreux. Through his ever-growing collection of solo recordings and collaborations with John Gorka and his current group DeMania, Manring has accumulated an ample discography that finds him moving ably between the worlds of new age, experimental jazz, fusion, and progressive rock.
