These intense German punk rockers broke into the mainstream with 2001's Pocketrock, but they already had their sound locked down, having been active for almost a decade. The bulk of their tunes—almost exclusively sung in English—are rousing pop-punk gems that alleviate the ticking time bomb tension of the verses by breaking into catchy, sing-along-worthy choruses. But as this collection shows, they also venture into no frills, thrashy punk, then abruptly veer off into alternative rock, with swathes of synth giving these aggressive fist-pumpers a polished sheen.
