Establishing common ground between Sonic Youth's downtown dissonance and Fugazi's sweaty heroics, the group is acrobatic enough to flip between cerebral complexity and visceral ecstasy. At times, their intricate compositions find them pushing into guitar-heavy prog rock. Other times, they lock into motorik grooves spiked with keyboards. It's a sound that never ceases to reveal new layers.
