D-A-D's sustained success on the Danish rock scene can be attributed to their knack for changing with the times. Their '80s records are shotgun marriages of AC/DC savagery and twangy punk. (Danes sure do love their psychobilly and cowpunk). Through the decades, however, they eased up on the gas considerably, even adding some power ballads to their always expanding repertoire. Amazingly, D-A-D's string of albums post-Y2K sounds like a totally different band. Tagging them the “collective soul of Denmark” would be a tad rich, yet they're really good at churning out melodic post-grunge.
