One of several artists at the vanguard of a Portuguese scene that blends modern rap and hip-hop stylings with Afrobeat rhythms, Rony Fuego still finds a way to stand out from the crowd, bringing together sultry beats, a smooth vocal flow and emotive lyricism to offer up a unique sound. The Lisbon artist sets out his sonic signature on tracks such as “Notificação”, “SORRI” and “Graças A Deus”, although his collaborations with Drenaz, Zirio and Stevão NDM prove he’s as capable of stepping into full-blown rap territory as he is at performing out-and-out dancehall.
