Common Curse

In the middle of the night sky

There's a light beam

And it's frightening me so

Through my window

And the winter's scars

I can see

That it's coming for me

Are they strangers?

Lost souls searching for answers?

That's ok

I guess we all get the same curse

When we enter the universe

A falsetto that pierces the dark

Did I scream?

Crime scene

As I look down I see

The dust settle and as quick as a spark

A man flees

It's obscene

Was it anger?

A lost soul looking for danger?

Found it in the form of an angel

Now she runs through the universe
