Never one to back down, Ruth Kueo Miaoru is a familiar face on reality singing competitions—she honed her skills as a musician on Chinese Million Star and Super Idol. Armed with a desire to break through the Mandopop scene, she continued to build her following by singing at events and pubs, as well as lending her voice to memorable TV soundtracks such as with the song “Without You”. As a singer-songwriter, Miaoru has penned a uniquely healing style of music. Her simple melodies sing of joy found in the little things, such as the bittersweet nostalgia of finding the courage to move on.

Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
My first album purchase was a momentous one—it was Westlife's debut album when I was 10 years old! Filled with timeless ballads and catchy pop tunes, it marked the beginning of my love for harmonious vocals and heartfelt lyrics.
