In addition to making original house music, the American DJ duo Lost Kings have remixed songs by Rihanna, Imagine Dragons, and Katy Perry.
• Robert Absisi and Nick Shanholtz met in Los Angeles through a mutual friend and began collaborating in 2014. Their breakthrough came later that year, when they received radio airplay with their remix of Disclosure’s 2012 smash “Latch.”
• Lost Kings released their first collection of original music, a three-track set called The Bad EP, in 2015. Additional EPs followed in 2016 and 2019.
• The duo’s 2016 single “Phone Down,” featuring Emily Warren, became their first chart hit, reaching the Top 20 on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs tally.
• In 2016, Lost Kings remixed Rihanna’s chart-topping single “Work,” featuring Drake.
• Lost Kings have released a steady stream of singles, with collaborators including Sabrina Carpenter (2017’s “First Love”), ASAP Ferg and Ally Brooke (2017’s “Look at Us Now”), and Wiz Khalifa (2019’s “Don’t Kill My High”).
