Adan "Chalino" Sanchez was the son of famous corridista singer Chalino Sanchez, who was kidnapped and killed when the younger Sanchez was eight years old. Adan began walking in his father's footsteps at a very early age, recording his first album in 1995, entitled Dios Me Nego (God Denies Me). The majority of his album titles revolved around the loss of his father, a pain that he shared with an immense and sympathetic audience. Such titles include La Corona de Mi Padre, Te Vengo a Ver, and Homenaje a Mi Padre. He met an untimely end himself; while en route to a concert, he was in a fatal car accident. ~ Evan C. Gutierrez
